On January 15, 2008 Michigan residents sent a clear message in support of Barack Obama by voting "uncommitted". With a primary in violation of DNC rules and with our candidate unable to campaign or spend money, MICHIGANDERS FOR OBAMA stepped up to the challenge and turned out the vote. 40% of Michigan selected "uncommitted" over any other candidate. Now on April 19th the Michigan Democratic Party will elect delegates in each congressional district.

Although the situation regarding Michigan delegates being seated is fluid, Michiganders has continued to vet and approve real Obama supporters to be elected delegate. No matter how or when our delegates are seated we can be sure that those delegates are supporters of Barack Obama.

  1. Who can vote? Any Michigan Democratic Party member that joined on or before February 28, 2008. If you are an elected official or precinct delegate you can join the party on caucus day and have voting rights.
  2. Can I attend if I am not an MDP member? Yes. These meetings are open to the public. We encourage you to attend and observe the process. You will not have the ability to vote, but showing your support by being there will go a long way.
  3. Who should I vote for? Make sure you vote for real Obama supporters. Each district has it's own page right here at www.MichigandersForObama.com with information and recommended candidates.
  4. What district am I in? It is based upon your congressional district. If you have a voter registration card your congressional district will be listed there. You can also view our map. Locate your county and what district your county is in.
  5. Where do I vote? Once you figure out what district you are in click the corresponding link to the right. Each district has a slate of candidates and locations for voting.
  6. REMEMBER: Registration begins at 8:30am and ends promptly at 10:00am. If you are not in by 10:00am you will not be allowed to participate.
