15th District Delegate

Follow me along this historic journey as I document each day through the eyes of a first time Delegate.

DAY 4 - A View of History
Speechless! Teary eyed with chills still resonating I sat. Breathing deep just taking it all in. I turned to look into the stands...Governor Granholm sat behind me just slightly down the row...glossy eyes. Mayor Dennis Archer was two rows back...tears welled up. I continued to look around and not a dry eye remained. Historical. Read More.

DAY 3 - NPR/Biden Nomination
7:30 this morning I was up and out the door for an interview on NPR. Following that a luncheon with Congressman Dingell. Finally, we ended the day with another amazing convention night. Bill Clinton, John Kerry, the Bidens, and then Barack. Read more...

DAY 2 - Hillary Clinton

DAY 1 - Michele Obama
Today was my first full day in Denver and simply put, it was amazing! I've logged this day by video blogging many of my fellow delegates. One of the highlights however has to be meeting Suzanne Malveaux. Read more...

DENVER OR BUST:
So, I've arrived! The plane ride over was fairly uneventful...slept all the way. Saturday night was a long one...plotting and planning what to wear and with a 6:30am flight I started the trip exhausted yet excited. Trust me, I'm not one to put much thought into attire however, the one thing they don't explain in the delegate packet is how to dress. Needless to say I brought way too much. So what do they explain in the days leading up to the convention? PARTIES! Yes you heard it. A delegate heading to the DNCC to handle serious business is inundated in the days leading up to the convention with invitations to all the hottest parties.
